Approximately 30 MGEC members braved a blustery April day to participate in our latest MGEC lunch on the 4th. (And about 8 more joined us online!) The lunch served as a positive forum to hear the latest updates at the legislature, how MGEC is positioning itself for bargaining, and, maybe most importantly, to meet each other in person.
Questions from members ranged from legislative updates to MGEC’s capacity to affect change at the legislature to understanding the timelines and potential events that can happen during bargaining. The in-person event facilitated a good discussion of MGEC topics, and some great comradery!
Lunch was arranged by MGEC Representative Tony Pfau, and we’re grateful not only for that but also his efforts helping to pull off the entire event. MGEC thanks all of its Representatives and recognizes their vital role in answering questions from our members and oftentimes being the first from MGEC to introduce themselves when they arrive as a new state employee.
If you’d like to have a MGEC lunch event at or near your worksite, please reach out to your MGEC Representative and/or Tony Kelly to make it happen!
