Current Contract: House File 800, and Senate File 1431 need passage to approve the 2021 – 2023 MGEC Contract
The house passed the contract on March 2nd. It also has to be approved by the Senate. In the Senate a final vote is needed. While we expect no issues with passage, we always encourage MGEC members to reach out to their senators before the end of the month to ask for passage of our labor agreements.
Insurance Bargaining between the unions and the state will begin this month. Currently a list of union proposals is being drafted. MGEC members with ideas for proposals should contact mgec@mgec.org. Once a list of proposals is finalized, we’ll have more specific information to share.
