About four times a year MGEC representatives meet with MnDOT management to discuss items of mutual interest or general concerns. Top leadership staff and HR usually attend with invited experts depending on the topic at hand. Some meetings are informational and others are an attempt to resolve an issue or concern and to at least make the State aware of it for future consideration into policy or bargaining. Meet and Confer meetings are also held with other agencies on an as needed basis. Typically 4 to 8 MGEC members and 10 to 15 Management staff attend. If non-board members are interested in attending they are welcome as space permits. Meetings are typically 1.5 to 2 hours in length and held at the agencies main office. Meet and Confer meetings are also held with districts as requested.
