MGEC would like to congratulate Jeff Cremin on his new position, which he took outside of state employment. His last day as a MGEC member and President was Friday, February 21st. Effective Monday, February 24th, Forrest Hasty, who was serving as Vice President, was appointed to fulfill the President position and Blake Nelson was appointed to fulfill the Vice President position for the 2020 term. Dear all Members and Represented Non-Members, MGEC accomplished a lot in 2019 and I am hopeful for a successful 2020. I would like to echo the sentiment that now Past President Derrick recently shared in his end of year message. MGEC Member Update: Uniform Application of Contract Language
If you have attended one of MGEC’s recent member meetings, you may recall one of the items included in the presentation was “MGEC helps ensure our members receive uniform application of contract language.” MGEC represents members in multiple State agencies; not every office or District interprets contract language in the same way.
