When one of MGEC’s members, Hannah Pritchard, saw the tremendous need in her North Minneapolis neighborhood after the looting and fires a few weeks ago, she decided to act. Her neighborhood was already struggling, even before any of the looting/fires, but the problem became even more pronounced after. Almost all of the food stores in the area are boarded up. Nominations are open for some MGEC Officer and Director positions. Elections will take place in the fall with terms starting January 1, 2020. The experience gained working with MGEC can often help on the job or when building your resume. Past board members will tell you they appreciated the experience, and many have served multiple terms.
