While the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) is home to most MGEC members (about 80%), MGEC also represents engineering and land surveying professionals at 12 other state boards, commissions, departments, colleges, and agencies. We are continuing our outreach visits to non-MnDOT member locations; we’re working to make sure all our members, know we value their input and feedback.
Following our meeting with Minnesota Pollution Control Agency (MPCA) (Feb 12), Dana Wheeler and Kari Torkelson (from MGEC) and Derrick Dasenbrock (MGEC President) visited with nearly all our MGEC members who are employed with the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry (DOLI) on Wednesday, April 24th. In addition to covering current topics like our 2019-2021 contract negotiations, members discussed some working condition issues related to lighting, noise, and air quality.
